Welcome to Menagerie

The stars are a vast, dark ocean. You are a witch living on one of many orbital space stations, planet-side colonies, or the star ships that pass between them. The most notorious of them is Menagerie, a place of pirates and hidden magics.

Things to know

• Magic can be granted by strange gods and ancient artifact, but for many witches, it is natural talent.
• Not everyone is human, but there are no “space aliens” in Menagerie. Demons, faeries, and other magical creatures use glamours keep up appearances or stay hidden.
• The Inquisitors root out magic users in the name of public safety. They’re your enemy, and often use magic themselves.

About the game

• Starborn is a ttrpg in active development. For now it is a one-page game. Everything else fits on the character sheet. It will be expanded in the future.
• The game uses a standard set of polyhedral gaming dice (d4, d6, d8, d10, and d12).
• The game requires 4 to 8 players (including a GM). 
• A typical game session will last 3 or more hours. It is designed for campaign play.
